About Songs From Home:
S.F.H. is an eclectic ensemble that embraces texture, form and collective improvisation to build a pallet of sound that is a modern blend of Americana, folk, jazz and pop yet still finds its foundation in the roots of American music.
In the search for something more simple and melodic, Keith began exploring the roots of American music and rekindled his love for hymns and other early American songs from all different genres. The S.F.H. was conceived in 2011 and keith immediately began putting the group together with the idea of utilizing instruments he was not used to playing with (Viola and Cello).
As its core of material the S.F.H. draw from early American music, but span the entire history of American music by also performing selections from jazz, rock and pop while still emphasizing the space and interaction of early jazz.
Now entering the scene in 2012, this group is sure to connect with a wide range of listeners.
